Tottenham will be looking to leapfrog Manchester United this weekend as they travel to Old Trafford, and they’ll fancy their chances of winning too after thumping Liverpool last weekend whilst United were being humbled by Huddersfield. We’ve a tip for that match, as well as tips for Bournemouth vs Chelsea and Burnley vs Newcastle.
Manchester United vs Tottenham (Sky Sports 12.30, Saturday)
Betting Guide: Manchester United 23/17, Draw 5/2, Tottenham 29/10
Whatever the result, one thing that’s for sure this weekend is that at least 100% record will have to end as Manchester United’s perfect Premier League home record this season clashes with Tottenham’s perfect Premier League away record. Manchester United have so far won all of their four home games to nil, scoring 14 goals without replay against Crystal Palace, Everton, Leicester and West Ham. Meanwhile, Tottenham have also won three of their four away to nil, scoring 12 goals. However, this has very much been a home fixture recently, with Manchester United winning the last three to nil. However, there is the feeling that United have suddenly slipped into defensive mode in their last 2 games, and barely raised an effort against Liverpool before slipping to a humbling 2-1 defeat at Huddersfield (where Tottenham cruised to a 4-0 victory). It may be that United bounce back but, with Tottenham also crushing Liverpool last weekend, Tottenham look value to win at Old Trafford for the first time since 2014.

Bournemouth vs Chelsea (BT Sports 5.30, Sunday)
Betting Guide: Bournemouth 11/2, Draw 33/10, Chelsea 11/17
Bournemouth actually won their first Premier League game against Chelsea away from home, but they’ve been on the wrong end of three maulings since, including losing their two home games 1-3 and 1-4. They’ve actually not been too bad at home recently though, beating Brighton and drawing against Leicester, though Chelsea are capable of scoring plenty as a 4-0 win at Stoke and three late goals against Watford last week proves. Therefore, I expect Chelsea to win but, considering their last two games here, the value may be a Chelsea win and both teams to score.

Burnley vs Newcastle (Sky Sports 8.00, Monday)
Betting Guide 2/1, Draw 11/5, Newcastle 7/4
Burnley and Newcastle haven’t played each other for a couple of seasons, but three of their four previous Premier League Matches resulted in their being less than 2.5 goals. That’s also been a popular result for both teams this season, with no more than two goals scored in any of Burnley’s home matches, and three of Newcastle’s four away matches. Odds-on quotes for less than 2.5 goals are no more than fair – but it looks the way to go.
