Premier League Tips for Saturday 23 December

There’s over 50 Live Football Games on TV over the festive period, and we’re kicking that run off in style on Saturday with tips for matches between Everton and Chelsea, Burnley and Tottenham, and Leicester and Manchester United.

Everton vs Chelsea (Sky Sports 12.30)

Betting Guide: Everton 5/1, Draw 3/1, Chelsea 4/6

Sam The Man has soon whipped Everton into shape, and the Toffees have now won 4 and drawn 1 of their last 5 Premier League Games, as well as secured a 3-0 away win in the Europa League. However, Chelsea are another step up compared to West Ham, Swansea, Newcastle and Everton. Everton have won 2 of their last 4 home games against Chelsea though, and recorded a 2-0 cup win in that time, but they have also suffered 3-0 and 3-6 defeats, with Chelsea having won their last 4 games against Everton in all competitions. After a shocker against West Ham, Chelsea have also got back on track with 3 straight wins. There are usually quite a few goals in the games between the teams so, with Chelsea just favoured to edge it, I’ll take a chance on stocking-filling 3-2 Chelsea score-line.

Burnley vs Tottenham (BT Sports 5.30)

Betting Guide: Burnley 13/2, Draw 10/23. Tottenham 4/7

A draw for Burnley will keep them above Tottenham in the Premier League Table, and only Arsenal and West Brom have taken 3-points home from Burnley this season. Tottenham also haven’t taken 3-points on their travels in any of their last 5 away games, with their only point in those 5 games coming from a draw at Watford. Burnley have yet to beat Tottenham though in the four games since they were promoted last, but have drawn 2 of those 4 games – and a draw looks the value.

Leicester vs Manchester United (Sky Sports 7.45)

Betting Guide: Leicester 7/2, Draw 11/4, Manchester United 10/11

Few would have predicted that, after 4 straight wins, Leicester would have been humbled 3-0 at home by Crystal Palace (certainly not in this column), but that’s the Premier League. However, though the likes of Vardy and Mahrez cab trouble anyone, it’s worth noting that Manchester United have won the last four games against Leicester, with Mourinho steering United to two-wins to nil last season. Therefore, with United having suffered a shocker to Bristol City in mid-week, I think they’ll be keen to bounce back here.
